The Racking Horse World Celebration will hold their 49th annual event on September 18th – 26th in Priceville, Alabama. Show management has announced their panel of judges. Choosing the 2020 champions will be Danny Musick, John Mark Hubbard, Newton Parks and Billy Strickland.
The East Tennessee Walking Horse Association will host the Foothills of the Smokies Walking Horse Show on October 17th at 4pm at the show grounds in Greenville, Tennessee. This show will take the place of the ETWHA Fall Classic and will be affiliated with NCWHA. For information, contact Bill Daughtery at 423.836.3607.
Frank “Kentucky Gambler” McWhorter passed away August 31, 2020. He was 72 years old. The Gallatin, Tennessee resident was born September 20, 1947 in Albany, Kentucky to parents Fred and Margie Bell McWhorter. The World Grand Champion preliminary classes took place on Saturday, August 29th, closing out the evening’s competition. The crowd showed their enthusiasm for their favorites. Six entries were showcased in Division A. Minor Ordeal and Tyler Baucom took top honors for the Dean/Riddley partnership. Reserve honors went to We Will Rock You and Philip Trimble
