USDA Gives Outline of Mandatory Penalties
A stakeholders conference call was held on Tuesday, June 5, at 4:00 p.m. EDT. The Walking Horse Trainers’ Association Ladies Auxiliary will host their Money Tree Classic on June 30th at Cooper Steel Arena. This year’s judging panel will be Scott Beaty, Scotty Brooks and Dale Watts.
The Alabama Ladies Auxiliary Horse Show that was scheduled for May 20th was postponed due to inclement weather. The new show date is June 28th at Baileyton Park in Baileyton, Alabama.
Lexie Stinnett and Chris Helton were united in marriage on May 18, 2023 at the Historic Harrisburg Bridge in Sevierville, Tennessee. The Scoop sends our congratulations to the newlyweds.
Walking for Cancer has added class 27A Park Pleasure. It will take place on June 10th at champions Arena in Shelbyville.
The 12th Annual Walking For The Angels Horse Show has selected Mike Hilley, Jason Hughes and Ryne Parker to judge. The two day horse show will be held at the Bedford County Ag. The Walking Horse Trainers’ Auxiliary Scholarship applications are now being accepted. These are available for both undergraduate and graduate students. For more information, contact Beth Thomas (931-580-6825) or Kari Tisma (678-576-1290). Applications must be received or postmarked by June 15th. The scholarships will be presented at the Money Tree Classic on June 30th.
The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ & Exhibitors’ Association is excited to announce a $2,500 Youth Challenge Cup program for youth who participate in halter classes.
