The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association has announced plans for a new horse show coming to Shelbyville. The TWHBEA Summer Sizzler will take place on July 25th at 5:00 PM in the Calsonic Arena. Mark your calendars and make plans to support this inaugural event.
Celebration officials have announced that the class sheet now posted on their website will be the official and final show schedule. The 81st Annual Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration will take place in Shelbyville on August 21-31, 2019. To view this class sheet visit www.twhnc.com.

Ernest Lee Upton, age 64 of Shelbyville, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019. He was born in McMinnville on March 10, 1955 to the late Carson Walker and Betty Sue (Kell) Upton. Ernest had been a professional Tennessee Walking Horse trainer since high school graduation, Even as a youngster he enjoyed working with horses.
