A few weeks ago I purchased a full-page advertisement in The Scoop to promote my candidacy for TWHBEA President. The version of ad that was published contained the official TWHBEA logo along the bottom of the page, which is clearly inappropriate. Although the inclusion of the logo was not directed by me personally, I take full responsibility for the ad and for the misuse of the logo. In addition, the table of contents listed TWHBEA as the advertiser, which is incorrect. In no way did TWHBEA endorse me as a candidate, nor was there any attempt by me to suggest as much. I regret the misuse of TWHBEA’s name and any confusion it may have caused.
