The Great Strides Therapeutic Riding Program is very dear to the Walking Horse Trainers’ Auxiliary. The auxiliary donates their time and money to Great Strides. World Grand Champion Silverado Spirit was laid to rest October 16, 2017 at the age of 20. Sired by Pride’s Dark Spirit and out of a Generator mare, she was foaled April 6, 1997. Albert Price “Sonny” Holt, Jr., age 72, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, October 14, 2017, in a motor vehicle accident, following a horse show in Cullman, Alabama.
