The Scoop congratulates world grand champion rider Meghan Davis and Straton Hammond on their recent engagement. She said “yes” on December 2nd at the beautiful Arrington Vineyards.
Walking Horse trainer Jerry Williams and Melanie Record were married on Monday, December 10th at Sand Creek Farm in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Family and friends came together, witnessing the vows. The Scoop congratulates the newlyweds.
Over the last 8 years the ETWHA has donated $67,650.00 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The Tennessee Walking Horse industry donates to so many wonderful charities through their horse shows.
The 2019 TWHBEA Executive Committee was recently elected. They are (not in order) David Williams (Tennessee), Steve Smith (Tennessee), Carrie Benedict (Kentucky), Keegan Meadows (Georgia), Ashley Wadsworth (Mississippi), Denise Rowland (Tennessee), Dr. Joseph Leith (Ohio), Russ Thompson (California), Margo Urad (Texas), Robin Webb (Kentucky), Chris Hazelwood (Tennessee), Bobby Beech (Tennessee), Jim Heiting (California).
As a reminder the WHOA Gala and Awards Banquet will be held at “The Barn at Sycamore Farms” stunning facility on Saturday evening, February 9, 2019. Send your reservations in early as seating is limited to the first 250 paid reservations. 250 is the maximum capacity for reservations, so get your number of reservations needed

A location change is announced for the 2018 ETWHA High Point Banquet. This year’s event will be held at Courtyard by Marriott, 120 Community Center Drive, Pigeon Forge, TN. The banquet will take place January 19, 2019 with registration beginning at 6:00 pm. Banquet letters have been mailed containing ballots, registration forms and invitation letter.
