SCWHA Announces $500 Payout To Champion

The SCWHA will host the Spring Show at Dillon Park in Sumter, SC on May 6. This will be a ribbon only show, with the Walking Horse Championship class having a $500 payout, graciously donated by a supporter of the SCWHA. This will be a double points show for SCWHA Points.



Footloose 5K for kids

The 4th Annual Footloose 5k For Kids was held Saturday April 15, 2017. It started at 8:00am and was the Celebration Grounds. The Walking Horse Trainers Ladies Auxiliary hosted another great event.



WHT Auxiliary donates to FAST

The Walking Horse Trainers’ Auxiliary hosted the annual silent auction during the National Trainers’ Show. The Auxiliary donated $3500 to the FAST Legal Fund with proceeds from the auction.



Sisk Family Contributes to Benedict Stables Fund

The Andrew Sisk Family has recently announced that the breeding fees received from I’m NRA will be donated to the Spencer Benedict Stables Fund. This fund has been set aside to help defray veterinary expenses following the devastating tragedy from December 2016 that took place at the Benedict Stables.

WHOA Announces 2017 Rules Revisions

The Walking Horse Owners Association Board of Directors has announced that the following revisions and clarifications for the 2017 Rulebook will be effective immediately. 1. All youth, 11 & Under, must wear ASTM-SEI approved headgear (helmets) in all riding classes. This is a safety requirement. 2. Youth that show in a specified “11 & Under”
