Walking Horses Represented at Eakin School

SHELBYVILLE, TN- On the eve of the 85th Annual Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration, students at Eakin Elementary School in Shelbyville, Tennessee, were treated to a Walking Horse presentation. Regan Aymett spoke about the industry and how it benefits our local community and state. She also explained about the characteristics of the breed and its different gaits.
Providing the students with thrilling exhibitions were Bailey McCormick Martin and World Champion Always In Style. Always In Style is prepared by Mickey McCormick and Mane Motion Stables and is owned by Nora Alexander of Jackson, Tennessee. Also exhibiting for the captivated audience was Isaac McGee aboard Jolly Be Good and SSHBEA Multi-World and World Grand Champion Shotgun Rider. Jolly Be Good and Shotgun Rider are both prepared by Dickie Gardner Stables and are owned by Isaac and Keely McGee of Flat Creek, Tennessee.
To top off an already great presentation, The Celebration provided one free admission ticket to every student in Bedford County and for Eakin’s special day, the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association gave each student a keepsake Walking Horse pencil. Eakin Principal Kathy Reed expressed her thanks to each that made the event so special.
