Update on Jose’ Cold Chills

Oct 12th, 2020 | By | Category: News

The Scoop recently received word that Jose’ Cold Chills will not be returning to the ring following the injury he sustained in the Walking Horse Stake class at this year’s 82nd Annual Celebration. The stallion, owned by LaRue, Ann and Bart McWaters of Ashford, Alabama and Shelbyville, Tennessee, is trained by Jimmy McConnell of Formac Stables. McConnell and Jose’ Cold Chills were contenders for the World Grand Championship title following their Spring Fun Show Grand Championship win and their Reserve World Championship win in SEC B of the stallions’ preliminary.
The McWaters reported that the horse had suffered from a damaged ligament. Even though he will recover, he will not be able to return to the show ring and compete. However, there is great hope that Jose’ Cold Chills will become a great breeding sire. It has been a great pleasure for The Scoop to advertise this incredibly talented horse. We wish him great success in the breeding barn.
