TWHBEA World Versatility Show Races To New Record

Lewisburg, TN – The latest edition of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) World Versatility Show was a record setter. With 557 entries from at least ten different states this year’s top Tennessee Walking Horse versatility competition was the biggest yet. The show, which was held July 20 – 22 at Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was judged by the honorable Dale Barnett of Shelbyville, Tennessee. A dedicated group of TWHBEA employees and volunteers worked hard to ensure that it was everything a horse show should be, both for the exhibitors and the spectators. Highlights of the weekend included the $2,500 Reining Jackpot sponsored by Manna Pro and won by former World Versatility Show Youth and Overall Highpoint winner Matthew McMurtrey aboard Red Sun’s Jewel, the Equine Agility demonstration featuring Sue DeLaurentis, the Trail Obstacle 11 & Under victory by Rachel Cowles and Traveling Time – the only horse to have shown at each and every World Versatility Show, Extreme Cowboy National Champions Tracy Pinson and Texan At The Ritz strutting their stuff in just about every division, and the presentation of both the Adult Amateur and Overall Highpoint Awards to Victory Trip and Dan Starnes, a longtime, dedicated versatility exhibitor and World Versatility Show volunteer. All in all the 2012 TWHBEA World Versatility Show was a huge success on all fronts – from the competition to the camaraderie. Special thanks to everyone who came together to make this year’s show the best yet.
