TWHBEA to offer On-Line Stud Fee Auction

LEWISBURG, Tenn. – Stud fees to 23 industry-leading sires will be available to the highest bidder beginning September 2, through an on-line auction organized by the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA). All proceeds from the auction, which runs through October 30, 2014 (ends a 1:00 pm CST), will benefit the TWHBEA National Futurity.
This year, the owners of TWHBEA National Futurity nominated-sires were asked to donate one stud fee to the auction as part of their stallion nominating fees. TWHBEA will conduct the auction through Facebook. For each stallion, there will be a minimum bid and a “buy it now” option for those who want to avoid bidding.
“TWHBEA is excited to make this on-line auction available to its members,” said TWHBEA Breeders’ Division Vice President David Williams. “Not only will this auction provide our members with access to many of the industry’s most sought-after sires, it will also raise some much-needed funds for the TWHBEA National Futurity. We at TWHBEA appreciate all the stallion owners who donated a stud fee and agreed to take part in this new nomination process.”
