The Annual Walking for Education

Mar 21st, 2013 | By | Category: Events, News

The Annual Walking for Education Horse Show will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Tennessee Livestock Center on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University.

The show begins at 5:30 PM and admission is $3 with children under 5 being admitted free.

This show is all about fun and old traditions! There will be great food, and merchandise vendors, and a silent auction. This year there will be a Photo Booth set up during the show for the exhibitors and spectators to have their pictures taken by Chad Moore of Chad Moore Media from Memphis, Tn. Music for the show and for entertainment will be provided by the very capable organist, Chase A. Williams.

There will be 33 invigorating classes that include flat shod and padded performance horses. We have also added a new class to the show. This year we will have an Amateur 5 Year Old Stallions, Mares, and Geldings Class, the winner receive a medallion from The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. We are also crowning our Juvenile 12-17 Championship rider with a floral horseshoe, trophies, and prize money!

The Walking for Education Horse Show is a major source of funds for the Walking For A Change Foundation. The goal of Walking For A Change is to educate the public about Tennessee Walking Horses through hosting clinics & exhibitions, and to spread the TRUTH about the greatest horses to ever WALK on this earth!

I, Martin D. Johnson, urge the community to come out to enjoy the show and help us raise funds to save our horse. If anyone is interested in sponsoring a class(es), trophies, ribbons, please contact me.
