Tennessee Walking Horse Foundation Seeks Develop Awareness of Tennessee Walking Horse

Lewisburg, TN – The Tennessee Walking Horse Foundation is a tax exempt charitable organization that enables people to easily and effectively support and promote funding for charitable, scientific and educational projects for the welfare and interest of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Its mission is to encourage support of, and funding for these endeavors while serving the needs of both the donor and the recipient. As a 501 (c) 3 all contributions made to the Foundation are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Separate from the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA), the Tennessee Walking Horse Foundation has its own dedicated board of directors. The Foundation’s function is to meet the needs of organizations throughout the industry by gifts of grants to individuals, corporations or associations that will promote goodwill, education and broad public awareness of the Tennessee Walking Horse.

 

The Foundation welcomes contributions of any size and donors are welcome to contribute to any of the existing funds, which include the General Fund, Academy Fund, Animal Welfare Fund, Rick Major’s Make-A-Wish Fund, Scholarship Fund, Therapeutic Fund and Endowment Fund. Donors are also welcome to set up their own fund with a minimum gift of $5,000.00 with the approval of the Foundation board. Additionally, the Foundation provides an avenue through which individuals who have made arrangements to donate a horse to an Academy or Therapy program can receive the associated tax benefit allowed by federal tax laws.
