On August 2, 2020, Tony Nales of Fort Lauderdale, Florida passed away. The 67 year old fought a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of over 35 years, Terri Nales of Fort Lauderdale, along with four grown children, Anthony, Jr., Justin, Laura and Amy. He is also survived by four young grandchildren.

Tony owned Desarata Construction Company of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This company specialized in the construction of luxury homes in South Florida. Tony was an enthusiastic supporter of the Tennessee Walking Horse Industry and loved the beauty and grace of the breed. For over 30 years, he regularly attended the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Tony loved nothing more than discovering young colts with outstanding potential with his long-time friend, George Zamora. He was thrilled when putting the colts into training, and later watching them enter the show ring. All who knew Tony Nales appreciated his generosity, wit, humor and ability to put a smile on the face of those around him.
