Ronald “Ronnie” Campbell, age 67 of Shelbyville, passed
from this life Friday, September 24, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after an extended illness.
Born August 11, 1954 in Whitwell, TN, he was the son of the late Dempsey and Johnnie Seay Meeks Campbell. Along with his parents Ronnie was preceded in death by: 1st wife, Connie Sue Campbell; daughter, Sherry Renee Campbell; and sister, June Campbell.
Ronnie was a horse trainer by trade for many years. In the later part of his life he was based at Clearview Horse Farm with his wife, Marie. He was involved mainly with Tennessee Walking Horses, but also the Mule Association and SSHBEA.

He is survived by: wife, Marie Campbell of Shelbyville; children, Ronald Shane Campbell, Christopher (Aimee) Campbell, Shelby Campbell, Vera (Jose) Sanchez, Ricky (Debbie) Campbell, Randy Todd Campbell, Sandra Guffey, Kevin Parker, 3 grandchildren, several loving niece and nephews; and caregiver Lauren Collins
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Wiser and Tyler Herndon officiating. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at the funeral home.
