Jean Poarch, age 90, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 16, 2022, surrounded by her family.
She is preceded in death by her son, Ronal Young; parents Dennis and Emma Johns; daughter-in-law Judy Young; brother Dennis Johns Jr.: sisters, Faye Scott, Model Kendrick, Anner Lou Ridley, Syble Green, Betty Steelman, Bobbie Jo Stanley.
Survivors include her loving husband of 35 years, Bob Poarch of Resaca, Georgia; granddaughters, Beth Young Lawwell (Josh) of Shelbyville, Tennessee; Brittany Poarch of Chatsworth; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Johnathan Lawwell of Shelbyville, Ali Hulett of Chatsworth; stepsons Steve Poarch of Chatsworth and Mike Poarch of Oakman; brothers, Isaac Johns (Wylene) of Resaca and Jerry Johns (Martie) of Chatsworth; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
A service to honor the life of Jean Poarch was held November 20, 2022, at Canaanland Baptist Church, with Bro. Isaac Johns and Bro. R.V. Stanley officiating. The interment was in the Craine Eater Cemetery.
