Dorothy was born on January 26, 1936 in Clarksville, TN the daughter of the late Walker and Beatrice Jones Miller. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Davenport and one sister, Ruth Batts.
Dorothy leaves behind her husband, Peter Huff, one son Peter Davenport, one daughter, Scarlet Susan Davenport; one niece, Mandy Batts; grandniece, Lacy Ignacio; grandnephew, Wendell Jimerson.A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at First Christian Church of Clarksville, with Pastor Craig Honbarger officiating. Visitation was held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Graveside Services followed in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Purcell, Jonathan Sperry, Keith Sperry, Mark Mosley, Wendell Jimerson and Jeff Bennett.
Dorothy was an award winning horse woman since the age of 12, she has owned, showed and bred “World Champion TN Walking Horses”, winning the “Ladies Fine Harness World Championship”. She was an educator and Counselor at Barksdale, New Providence, North East, Montgomery Central and St. Bethleham Schools. She owned Eupdon catering and hosted weddings and parties. She was a 3rd generation member of First Christian Church and volunteering for “The Food Room” at First Christian Church feeding the needie of the community.
