Funeral services for Marjorie Calhoun Lester, 77, of Gracey, KY were held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Steve Hussung officiated. Burial followed in the Lester Family Cemetery in Gracey.



Marjorie Lester died of natural causes at 7:15 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville. She was born on March 13, 1935, in Trigg County to the late Alfred Arclius (A.A.) Calhoun and Estelle Luton Calhoun.



Marjorie was a member of Gracey West Union Baptist Church. She was the secretary for Lester Farms, Inc., a homemaker, as well as, a member of the Christian Classic Car Club. 



She was preceded in death by two brothers, Maurice Calhoun and William Gary Calhoun. Marjorie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bill Lester of Gracey; one sister, Marie Birdsong of Gallatin, Tenn.; one son, Gary Price Lester (and wife Joy Baker) of Gracey; one daughter, Angela Lester Hanson (and husband Dave) of Niwot, Colo.; six grandchildren, Dustin Price Lester of Trigg County, Micah Clinton Lester (and wife Lauren) of Gracey, Chase Baker Lester of Lexington, Laura Bethany Lester of Franklin, Tenn., Chloe Marie Hansen of Denver, Colo. and McKenna Marjorie Hansen of Niwot, Colo.; three great-grandchildren, Ella Ross Lester, Clayton Price Lester and Emory Kate Lester, all of Gracey.



Serving as pallbearers were Craig Calhoun, Cary Calhoun, Johnny Birdsong, Dustin Lester, Micah Lester and Chase Lester. Music will be provided by Rita Roeder, pianist.

King’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
