Before Meek took ownership, The Phantom Menace was owned by Dee Dee Sale. He began his show career in 2002 as a three-year-old stallion with Knox Blackburn as trainer. Soon after this debut, Thom Meek purchased him and owned him for the remainder of his life.

Throughout his show career, the beautiful black stallion accumulated 50 blue ribbons, including two world grand championships, two world championships and numerous reserve world and world grand championships. The Phantom Menace will be remembered for his natural talent and gentle spirit, and will be missed by all who loved him and cheered for him. The Scoop sends our condolences to Meek.
