Equine Obituary – Pride’s Jubilee Encore

Oct 26th, 2020 | By | Category: News, Obituaries

The Tennessee Walking Horse Industry has experienced a great loss as the 2001 World Grand Champion, Pride’s Jubilee Encore, passed away at age 29. His sire was World Grand Champion Pride’s Jubilee Star and his dam was Lady Fame. Pride’s Jubilee Encore was foaled on April 29, 1991.

Kay Dennis and Filey Patterson purchased Encore in 1994, and the partnership placed him with trainer, Bill Bobo. Encore and Bobo went on to win numerous titles, which included the 1995 Four Year Old World Championship. In 1998, the stallion moved to Allan Callaway Stables. Their work continued towards World Grand Championship honors. In 2001, there was a change with ownership. It was now a partnership of Dennis, Charles Terry and Jerrold Pedigo. The year ended with the ultimate prize. Callaway and Encore won the 2001 World Grand Championship.

The Scoop sends our deepest sympathies to the owners, trainers and fans of the 2001 World Grand Champion, Pride’s Jubilee Encore.
