January 8, 1997-March 20, 2022
John F K’s Pusher, Homer to those who knew and loved him, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 20, 2022. He was owned and loved by Bruce and Robin MacDonald. His retirement and wonderful care was provided by Justin Harris and family at their home and farm. He didn’t miss a day without his peppermint or munching on grass. He loved the show ring and won five World Grand Championships and over 50 blue ribbons with Robin. Homer attracted many loyal fans with his timeless way of going. People referred to it as an old time lick and hard walk. He was a once-in-a-lifetime equine partner to Robin, with his huge heart and his competitive spirit, but he was also very mischievous. You could almost see a smile on his face when he was in one of his moods. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten. God bless you Homer. May you rest in peace. The Scoop is saddened by this great loss and we send our deepest sympathies to the MacDonald Family, the Harris and Fleming Families and all who loved and supported this outstanding and talented Tennessee Walking Horse.
