The Charles Gleghorn Family has announced the passing of World Grand Champion Cash In My Stock. Cash was humanely laid to rest on September 27th after a prolonged illness. He was 28 years old.

Cash was born and raised on the Dotson Brothers Farm in Franklin, Tennessee. Charles Gleghorn purchased Cash from Jesse Dotson after recognizing his great talent. Cash began his show career for the Gleghorn Family under the training banner of Layne Leverette. In 1999, under the direction of trainer Steve Aymett, Cash In My Stock won his first 15.2 & Under Stallions World Championship. Cash was then moved back home to Brookhaven Stables in Fayetteville, Tennessee and trained by Brett Boyd. In 2001 Boyd directed Cash to the 15.2 & Under World Championship and World Grand Championship. The following year while still under the Boyd training banner and with his owner in the irons, Cash and Gleghorn won the Amateur 15.2 & Under World Championship and Reserve World Grand Championship.

After a successful show career, Cash became a breeding stallion as part of Waterfall Farm’s premier line of stallions. Dr. Mike Harry oversaw this phase of Cash’s life. After some time, the decision was made to bring Cash home to stand stud at Brookhaven Stables. Cash would spend his remaining years at Brookhaven being cared for by Brett Boyd and Christen Lovvorn. Cash In My Stock will be greatly missed by his owners, trainers and caretakers. The Scoop sends our deepest sympathies to The Gleghorn Family.
