Equine Obituary- All About That Jose

Aug 2nd, 2021 | By | Category: News, Obituaries

Harold and Sherry Roberts sadly announce the passing of All About That Jose. The beautiful black stallion passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Leatherwood Farms in Lewisburg, Tennessee due to complications from colic. He was 11 years old. During his show career, he was shown 93 times winning 35 blue ribbons. Those wins include a world championship and a reserve world grand championship.

All About That Jose was bred and raised by Diana Bowers and was originally named Jose’s Hayburner. Edgar Abernathy became interested in him when he was a young four year old stallion. He shared the horse’s history with Harold and Sherry Roberts and their daughter Kyndra and the family soon became the new owners, changing his name to All About That Jose.

In 2016, Harold and “Bruno”, as he was known around the barn, captured the Novice Men’s World Championship and the reserve World Grand Championship. More blue ribbons would follow for The Roberts Family while under the direction of Edgar Abernathy and Blaise Broccard.

The Scoop sends our condolences to The Harold Roberts Family on the loss of their great stallion. All About That Jose was a beautiful representative and talented ambassador for the entire Tennessee Walking Horse industry.
