Mrs. Emma Lee Cannon and Dr. J. Dale Cannon announce the engagement of their daughter, Brook Ellen to Brian Glenn McCloud. Both are from Sumter South Carolina. Brook Ellen graduated the Medical University of South Carolina with a Bachelors of Science Degree in nursing. Brian graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Brook Ellen is employed by a neurosurgery group in Roanoke, Virginia and Brian works for an engineering firm.

Brook Ellen has been showing horses since she was 10years of age.  She earned a fourth place at the 2006 Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration on Loreal. She has earned the title of South Carolina Junior Rider Horsewoman of the Year, Junior Rider of the Year, Junior Rider Plantation Rider if the Year, and recently her horse Mr. Houston won South Carolina Show Pleasure Horse of the Year.
