El Nino’s Dark Knight Battles to the Blue

OWINGSVILLE, KY- The Owingsville Lions Club hosted their annual Walking and Racking Horse Show on July 5th and 6th. Three judges accepted the responsibility of choosing the best in each class. Those serving in that position were Gary Fields, Daniel Carmichael and Brent Carter.

The two-day show started off with a bang for Julie George as she directed Zorro’s Evening Star to the first award, a unanimous blue in the Yearlings class. Don Hancock owns the Yearling champion. The Racking Specialty Action Championship had one entry. Claiming that title were Designed By Specialist and Brian Rolen for owner David Rolen. Ending the two-day show was the Walking Horse Championship class with three entries. Battling to the top spot was El Nino’s Dark Knight with RM Kellett in the irons for owner Jones and Lawrence. Reserve award went to Ritz’s Rhythm and Jordan Caudill for owner Burton and Adams. The third and final award went to the Tom Ware entry I’m A Plaid Rabbit and Brent Grider.
