The Calsonic Arena will soon get a facelift on the outside and a complete remodel on the inside, becoming a multi-million dollar renovation. With these changes also comes a new name- Cooper Steel Arena. Cooper Steel is a steel fabricating company with offices in numerous states, but fortunately for Shelbyville, their home office is located here in Bedford County. Gary Cooper, CEO and President of the Board for Cooper Steel Fabrications was raised in Shelbyville and knows the importance of The Celebration and the influence it has on the local and state communities and families from near and far. Cooper Steel is also a family based industry so for Gary, it was an easy decision to accept this union. The partnership will be the most significant outside investment in The Celebration’s history and will carry the naming rights for at least the next 20 years.
