On May 4th, the famous Kentucky Derby crowned a new champion Mystik Dan. The Nashville Sounds baseball team celebrated this historic event by hosting Derby Day at their home game against Norfolk Tides on May 4th. Derby Day was the perfect opportunity to spotlight the official state horse, the Tennessee Walking Horse.  As part of the festivities, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 World Grand Champion trainer John Allan Callaway was invited to the mound to toss the first pitch of the game.
