Lewisburg TN – At the 2012 Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ And Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) General Membership Meeting, held November 30, 2012, TWHBEA member from Tennessee Nathanael Jackson, with great support from President Marty Irby, motioned that a committee be established to help any Association members that find themselves in need. Included in his motion was the idea to name the committee Micah Care in honor of Micah Bialy, a Tennessee Walking Horse Youth Association member who recently lost his battle with cancer. The motion carried unanimously.

At the International Board of Directors Meeting, held December 1, 2012, it was announced that the Tennessee Walking Horse Foundation would be taking donations for Micah Care. It is with deep gratitude that we announce that the first donation has been received – $2,500 from the Baskin-Irby Construction Company, LLC, of Franklin and Clarksville, Tennessee. Thank you to everyone at Baskin-Irby Construction and to all of the generous members of our Tennessee Walking Horse community.
