NC changes shoeing rules for shows

North Carolina Horse Shows will now be under SHOW Pleasure Horse Rules completely. Dobson and NCWHA Spring Show will follow these rules..

 

Trail Pleasure is a 3/8″ by 3?4″ cold or hot roll steel, or aluminum shoe.

 

All Country Pleasure classes will now be stamped steel or aluminum keg shoe, no larger than 3/8″ by 3/4″ shoe.

If you have been showing in Country Pleasure with a heavier shoe, you can be eligible to show in Lite Shod.

 

Lite Shod does not allow tungsten shoes and includes only a 1/2″ by 1″ shoe, cold or hot rolled steel or aluminum shoe.

If you have been showing with heavier shoes in Lite Shod, you may now show in Plantation Pleasure. Plantation Pleasure classes allow any steel and and 1/2″ by 3/4″ shoe.

 

If you have been showing with a larger shoe than the allowed Plantation shoe, you may now show in Park classes. Park classes allow a 1/2″ by 1 1/2″ shoe from any steel.
