Equine businesses across Tennessee will soon be able to apply for support through the Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s premier cost-share initiative, the Tennessee Agricultural Enhancement Program (TAEP). The application period for TAEP is October 1–7, 2025. Details will be available soon at: www.tn.gov/taep
To be eligible for the TAEP, applicants must operate a commercial equine business involved in breeding, training, and/or boarding, with a minimum of 20 head. Horses, donkeys, and mules may be combined to meet this requirement.
In preparation for the application process, TWHBEA and TDA will be holding an information workshop to be held at the TWHBEA headquarters in Lewisburg, TN and via Zoom. This workshop will be a great opportunity for anyone who is eligible for the program to ask questions and learn more about the addition of equine to the TAEP program.

The information workshop will be Monday, September 22nd at 6:00pm. TWHBEA will be sending out a registration email for the workshop in the next few days.
