Mike worked for the Penick family in Walterboro, South Carolina. He is mentally handicapped and he loves the Tennessee Walking horse. The unprovoked beating resulted in nearly every bone in his body being broken and one eye knocked out of its socket. He is having to undergo facial reconstruction surgery.
