TWH Stable Hand Severely Beaten

Jul 19th, 2012 | By | Category: News

Mike worked for the Penick family in Walterboro, South Carolina. He is mentally handicapped and he loves the Tennessee Walking horse. The unprovoked beating resulted in nearly every bone in his body being broken and one eye knocked out of its socket. He is having to undergo facial reconstruction surgery. Mike is a kind, gentle man who would never hurt anyone, according to those who know him. A medical expense fund has been established for Mike. Donations may be sent to: Bank of Walterboro, P.O. Box 1707, Walterboro, SC. ATTN: Mike G. Account. In the meantime, he needs our help and our prayers. A silent auction to raise money for Mike’s medical expenses is being held during the Shelbyville Open Horse Show at Clearview Farms on July 28. Please attend or make arrangements to send a donation.
