At the recent Walking Horse Trainers’ Association Banquet, the two winning Riders’ Cup trainers received their award for earning the most points. Jimmy McConnell was at the top for performance trainers while Laurie Toone was the leader for pleasure trainers. The Scoop congratulates each one on this outstanding accomplishment.

Molli Beth Hobgood and Nick Price were united in marriage on December 18, 2021 at Fairmount First United Methodist Church. A reception followed at Price Stables where Nick is trainer. The Scoop congratulates the newlyweds.

FAST, Inc. will be hosting a New Year’s Eve gathering called Denim & Diamonds. Wear your denim or diamonds and celebrate the coming New Year with your Walking Horse industry friends. There will be dinner, music, casino fun, auction and so much more. This event will take place December 31st at the Blue Ribbon Circle

The WHT Ladies’ Auxiliary held a meeting on Friday, December 10th in conjunction with the Walking Horse Trainers Association’s annual banquet. This hard-working group of ladies elected their new officers for the upcoming show year.
