Attention Tennessee Walking Horse Owners!
The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association is partnering with Ernie Brewbaker and Ranger T. Walker to support the cancer fighting efforts of Relay For Life in 2017. This year there will be a horseback riding portion where riders solicit sponsors and collect their earnings. TWHBEA will consolidate the earnings and send 100% of the collections to the American Cancer Society. This is a chance to not only walk, but to ride and showcase your horse(s) in a worthwhile effort for something that affects each and every one of us. Join us in the fight against cancer by finding a cure. The event takes place June 2, 2017 6:00 p.m. at the Bedford County Ag Center, 2119 Midland Road, Shelbycille, TN 37160. Be there for a night of fellowship, exercise and good works for the benefit of others. See the information packet and sponsorship forms below. Email your completed sponsorship forms to rwilliams@twhbea.com or hand deliver it to Mr. Rory Williams at the TWHBEA table on the night of the walk. Mr. Williams will have cold water, Gatorade and healthy snacks available for riders/walkers. Call us at 931-359-1574 x592, or x597 with any questions you may have.

TWHBEA Joins The Fight With Relay For Life
In effort to support those that have survived cancer, lost loved ones to cancer and may be stricken with cancer in the future, searching for a cure – the TWHBEA is teaming up with Relay For Life.
Ernie Brewbaker (Ranger T. Walker - Celebration Flag Horse, owner) approached the TWHBEA with an idea to have a Walking Horse portion of the event to raise more money and for horse owners to come together in spirit of fellowship and common goal of stamping out cancer.
The TWHBEA Vice President of Marketing/Advertising, Miss Ashley Wadsworth approved the administrative plan for TWHBEA’s efforts. Ernie Brewbaker, Rory Williams and the Bedford County Relay For Life team identified a safe method of including horses and riders with pedestrians so that all could participate.
TWHBEA’s portion is administrative, mainly, but Executive Director Rory Williams will be in attendance walking to stamp out cancer and fervently wishes a great many horse owners will bring their loving mounts to flat walk a few hours/miles away and raise pledge money to donate to the cause.
Pledge sheet, and instructions, can be found on the TWHBEA website and Facebook pages March 30, 2017.
