BROADHEAD, KY- On Friday, July 19th Broadhead, Kentucky welcomed some of the area’s finest Tennessee Walking Horses and Racking Horses to the Walking For Hope Horse Show. Kentucky shows are growing by leaps and bounds and this horse show is no exception. Serving as corporate sponsors of this event were Cottonwood Farms of Corbin, Kentucky and Chris Adkins of Rush, Kentucky.

Jamie Tucker judged the 32 classes. Riding to the first blue of the evening was I’m A Little Funky and Davany Bullock in the Country Pleasure Youth 11 & Under class. The two largest classes of the show just happened to be pleasure classes. The Country Pleasure Four & Under class welcomed Chiquito and Claire Hankins to the winners’ circle while Tom Brady and Jared Scott claimed the top spot in the All Day Pleasure class.

The grand finale of the show was the Country Pleasure Championship followed by the Walking Horse Championship. One entry entered the ring for each class. My Girl Kitty and owner/rider Cloia Collins were the Country Pleasure victors, and Ritz’s Rhythm and Jordan Caudill took the blue in the Walking Horse Stake for owners Burton and Adams. The Scoop appreciates the Kentucky Walking Horse Association for their hard work promoting the great Tennessee Walking Horse and congratulations to all of the newly crowned Walking For Hope champions.
