Mrs. Lillian Bunch Gaines, 81, of Blytheville, died Sunday, February 28, 2010, at her home. Born at Yarbro, the daughter of the late Spencer and Minnie Lee French Bunch, she was a lifelong area resident and a homemaker. She had been the owner and operator of the Poodle Shop for over 40 years, having learned her grooming skills from a professional handler. Mrs. Gaines had a great love of animals, large and small, and was very active with the Blytheville Humane Society. She was an accomplished rider and avid horsewoman and trainer, showed horses for many years and won numerous high point awards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Randy Marbry.

Mrs. Gaines leaves her husband, Luverl Gaines, of the home; and her daughter, Debbie Marbry of Shelbyville, TN.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with the Rev. Wesley Davis officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive visitors from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
