February 4, 2010

World Champion Kat Man Dude, a gentle giant of a horse, was euthanized on January 30, 2010 after experiencing colic.  Surgery revealed a twist in the small intestine and most of the large intestine was damaged.

A favorite on the TN show circuit, Kat Man Dude had many blue ribbon titles to his credit.  Kat Man Dude was the Novice Lady Riders on Novice Mares/Geldings World Champion at the 2008 National Celebration with Carla Brown in the irons.  He earned Reserve World Championships in 2005 with Polly Ware in the saddle and in 2004 with Ray Gilmer.  This talented, 12-year-old gelding carried many riders to victory throughout his career, including, Carla Brown, Philip Trimble, Clay Sanderson, Polly Ware, and Ray Gilmer.

Pray for his owners, Barrow, Carla and Ashtyn Brown of Columbia, TN, trainer Philip Trimble of Pulaski, TN, and his barn family who loved him so much.  Kat Man Dude was buried at the Brown's farm.
