Andrew Waites has
resigned from the SHOW HIO Personnel Task Force.
Waites was chosen to chair the Personnel Task Force,
whose major focus was creating the job description
of the new SHOW CEO and conducting the search for
that candidate.
Waites, citing
personal reasons, resigned effectively immediately
and will be replaced by Mike Davis, a Personnel Task
Force member. Davis is currently employed by Metlife
and lives in Cincinnati, OH. Davis owns Shamrock
Farms in Shelbyville, TN.
Waites commented,
“I fully support the initiatives of SHOW and look
forward to the progress within the industry
continuing. At this time however, I need to spend
more time with my family and career in Mississippi
and can’t devote the necessary time to the SHOW
Personnel Task Force.” He continued, “It is not
fair to SHOW for me to not be able to devote the
necessary time and I look forward to helping them in
any way I can in the future. I support Mike Davis
fully and know he will lead the task force in
finding the right person for the job.”
“We would like to
thank Andrew for his support and help as we have
launched the SHOW HIO. We would not be where we are
today without his and the other task force members
help. We hate to lose a valuable member such as
Andrew but we also support completely his decision
to spend more time with his family,” said SHOW CEO
Dr. Doyle Meadows.
